Though the Allure has successfully hosted boat and bike tours in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany for over 20 years, this cozy passenger barge hasn’t lost an ounce of its original charm or, pardon the pun, allure.
This popular 42m small river barge was expertly redesigned by Jossie Verkerk with comfort and authenticity in mind, ideals which its new owner, Martien van de Velde has maintained after buying The Allure in 2011. It can accommodate 22 passengers and has ten cabins in total, one double (8 m² – 68 sq. ft.) and nine twin cabins (8 m² – 86 sq. ft.) with two single beds each that can be joined to make a double. There is also the option to request a bunk bed for kids in two of the cabins.
Every cabin is fitted with a private shower, basin and toilet as well as windows that open and central heating. There is also a hairdryer and mini safe in every cabin for your convenience.
Special attention has been paid to the communal spaces on The Allure, just ask the countless passengers that have enjoyed delicious meals on its vast, beautiful sundeck, under sunny, or moonlit, summer skies. There is also an air-conditioned lounge complete with a small bar and sitting area and wide screen TV. Wi-Fi is available throughout and the whole barge has central heating.
