The Fluvius has a long and storied history that has seen it be transformed from a humble cargo barge into a luxury river cruise barge back in 2003. It underwent a second renovation in 2017/2018 when four additional upper deck double cabins were built, increasing the total number of passengers it can accommodate to 44. The fact that the Fluvius sails under Dutch management and flag guarantees that no effort or expense has been spared to ensure an unforgettable stay aboard this ever-popular ship.
The Fluvius’ eighteen twin and four double cabins are split between the upper and lower decks of the ship. The upper deck has three standard twin cabins (11 m² – 118 sq.ft. ) with two separate single beds. There are also four double cabins (12 m² – 129 sq.ft. ), each with a double bed and gorgeous panoramic view.
The lower deck has fourteen standard twin cabins (11 m² – 118 sq.ft.) and a smaller twin cabin (10 m² – 108 sq.ft.). All the cabins on the lower deck have two separate single beds. Two of the standard twin cabins can be fitted with a child’s cot at prior request.
Every cabin has an en-suite bathroom with shower, basin and toilet, individual air-conditioning, ventilation, a flat screen TV and hair dryer. Though all twin cabins have fixed windows, the panoramic windows in the double cabins can be opened.
Special attention has been paid to the communal areas of the ship such as the large air-conditioned lounge, which has a semi-separate restaurant area, TV and bar. Drink in the view (and the odd aperitif!) from the sun deck which is set up with tables and chairs and is especially popular on balmy summer evenings!
