The perfect mini-cruise for anyone looking to experience the very best of what spring has to offer in Holland. The excitement in the air as spring bursts into life can be felt at every stop along this tour which includes visits to “the Garden of Amsterdam”, countless museums, the renowned flower market in the city center, the UNESCO-listed canals, the historic city of Haarlem and the impressive flower park Keukenhof, near Lisse, not to mention Zaanse Schans, an open-air museum celebrating every aspect of Dutch culture from windmills to clog-making.
You’ll meander along the canals and waterways in and around Amsterdam on board a custom-built barge where you’ll experience top-class service and an itinerary that changes day-by-day. Depending which tour you book and with which barge, there’s also the option to visit the world’s largest flower auction in Aalsmeer*.
*The Aalsmeer flower auction is closed during weekends and on public holidays. This is an optional visit. Please be aware that on the departure date April 14 a visit to the flower auction is not possible.

Day 1: Amsterdam | Amsterdam – Zaandam
The tour kicks off with check-in at 2pm where the crew will welcome you onboard before a short cruise takes you to see the windmills at Zaandam where your barge will berth for the night. After a quick test ride of your new bike you’ll be able to enjoy a walk through Zaandam’s picturesque center.
Day 2: Zaandam – “Zaanse Schans” – Zaandam | Zaandam – Haarlem (24 km/14 mi. or 34 km/21 mi.)
Day two begins with an easy 5km bike ride to Zaanse Schans, an open-air museum featuring traditional wooden houses, an entire old Dutch village, beautiful windmills, a working cheese farm and a traditional wooden clog maker. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can spend the afternoon cycling or relax on the barge as it drifts on to our end destination, Haarlem. Here the barge will be berthed right near the city centre, this giving you the option to explore Haarlem during the afternoon or evening at your leisure.
Day 3: Haarlem – Keukenhof – Oude Wetering (38 km/23 mi. or 55 km/34 mi.)
The next stop on our tour, Keukenhof, is a veritable Garden of Eden, overflowing with thousands of tulips, hyacinths, daffodils and countless other flowers in full bloom. We’ll spend the entire morning here before hopping on our bikes to cycle to the small village of Oude Wetering where your floating hotel will welcome you for an evening of fine food and wine.
Day 4: Oude Wetering – Amsterdam | Amsterdam Waterland cycling tour (28 km/18 mi.)
It’s an early start on day four as we hop on the bus at 6:30am for one of the highlights of the tour, a visit to the world’s biggest flower auction at Aalsmeer*. The millions of flowers that are auctioned off here are instantly shipped off to all parts of the world and the bustle of this busy market is an experience in itself!
By 9 a.m. you will return on the your barge where a late breakfast will be waiting for you while sailing through Amsterdam. During the afternoon you either have the opportunity to make a last beautiful cycling tour through the wetlands of Waterland or to discover this amazing city. Visit the inner city flower market, go to a museum, do some shopping… there is just so much to do! Optional: end-of-day canal tour in Amsterdam.
*: The Aalsmeer flower auction is closed during weekends and on public holidays. This is an optional visit. Please be aware that on the departure date April 14 a visit to the flower auction is not possible.
Day 5: Amsterdam
The end of our mini-tour! We bid our passengers a fond farewell after breakfast with disembarkation taking place until 9:30am.
